Coaching Pool
The Tempo Coaching Pool is a group of trusted, qualified coaches who support our community programs, camps, clinics, and game-day activations, and it’s something you can be part of. When you join the pool, you become someone we can rely on to step in and deliver a great on-court experience wherever we’re running programming.
You’ll be working with athletes of all genders, with a strong focus on creating positive, empowering experiences for girls. That means understanding how to meet players where they’re at, building confidence, and helping create spaces where girls feel seen, supported, and motivated to keep playing.
We’re looking for coaches who know the game, communicate clearly, and take pride in creating sessions that are organized, engaging, and positive for every athlete. Just as important, you understand how to build an environment where players feel safe, included, and confident showing up as themselves.
As part of the pool, you’ll help us grow the game across different communities while representing the standard of Tempo basketball every time you step on the floor.
This is a paid opportunity. Coaches will be compensated at an hourly rate for their participation in leading Tempo community programming.
Coach Requirements
- Eligibility
- 18+ years old
- Minimum high school-level coaching experience
- Demonstrated experience working with youth
- Safety & Compliance
- Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check (CRC/VSC) required
- Coaches Association of Canada Safe Sport Training (free e-learning)
